The Piper L-4 Grasshopper evolved from the successful 1930’s era civilian Piper Cub series of high wing aircraft. By 1941, the US Army pursued the development of the O-59A which was eventually redesignated to Liaison or “L”-4 Grasshopper.

The Nexa L-4 Grasshopper is a .46 size electric US Army liason aircraft with a 1620mm wingspan, constructed primarily from balsa wood and covered in the US Army olive green livery with invasion stripes. This ARF requires assembly and installation of your choice of servos and power system, and includes two piece wing with aluminum wing joiner, fiberglass cowl and operational pilot door. A large battery tray provides ample space for any size battery you require.

Nexa ARF models are constructed out of balsa wood and plywood. These are not foam models. The assembly of balsa wood ARF aircraft requires basic model building skills including the installation of servos, ESC, and motor (or gas engine).
