The 20th Century Limited one of the iconic New York-Chicago trains of yesteryear, makes its debut as Kato’s newest Named Train!

This classic named train set replicates the New York Central’s premier high-speed luxury train as it appeared in the late 1940’s/early 1950’s, when it had all-new cars and a sleek complement of streamlined diesel engines to pull it.

This 2-Locomotive set is a brand new tooled body for the E7A, the iconic streamlined diesel that pulled the 1948 era “20th Century Limited”. Both locomotives are powered and painted and outfitted with all the prototype details that would match these locomotives from this era!

This Kato N Scale EMD E7A 2-Unit Set is based on EMD Cab units built to haul postwar streamliners. E7A units from the 1940s to the 1970s. The 1,500-horsepower units were built for speed and lent a modern, streamlined appearance to the head end of every passenger train they hauled.
