Schempp-Hirth Duo Discus is a German two-seater sports and training glider with a composite structure in a medium wing configuration. The prototype flight took place in 1993. Serial production started shortly after, which led to the creation of over 600 examples of this glider. Production continues. The curb weight of Duo Discus is 410-430 kilograms.

The Duo Discus glider was developed at Schempp-Hirth as a successor to another design by the company: the Janus glider. From the beginning, it was constructed as an aircraft intended for advanced sailplane training and as a sports sailplane. Duo Discus is easy to pilot, it is also characterized by very good flight characteristics and good manoeuvrability. The latter means that it is often used for gliding acrobatics. Duo Discus is currently one of the most popular gliders in Europe. Sometimes it is converted to a powered sailplane by adding a power unit directly behind the cockpit. In the civil market, it competes primarily with the DG Flugzeugbau DG-1001 glider.
