There are currently 38 species of wild cats in the world. The largest big cat is the Siberian tiger, which can weigh an astonishing 660 pounds and stretch more than 10 feet nose to tail. Of all the big cats, leopards are the most beautiful, the most catlike in their movements and behaviour. A cheetah is the fastest land animal, reaching speeds over 60 miles per hour, and can pump out as many as four strides per second at top speed. They can accelerate faster than most cars!
